Her connection with Guatemala began in 2014, when she completed her student teaching at the Christian Academy of Guatemala. That foundational experience sparked a desire to return and to use her skills to help the people.

Michelle is passionate about sustainability and seeks to uplift and empower the Guatemalan people through education.
Her drive is rooted in her faith and compassion for the Guatemalan people.
Rebecca Ziems
Academic DirectorBecca holds a BA in All-Grades Education and Spanish.
She is a two-time certified ESL educator with microcredentials in international English exam prep (TOEFL, IELTS, and PTE), and has continued teaching and training across multiple platforms since, bringing that same instructional depth into Ensena’s classrooms and teacher-training curriculum.

She's especially driven by the cascade model at the heart of the mission: training local women not just to speak English, but to teach it — so they can create opportunity in their own communities.
